eBay reaches an agreement to buy Where

eBay plans to purchase Where, the acclaimed provider of advertising services and mobile apps that support shopping in nearby stores, on undisclosed terms and conditions. The mobile app developed by Where aids consumers in searching for products and services from local businesses. The app also provides recommendations based on the consumer’s attitude.

eBay sees the deal as a benefit for the global consumers and retailers. “By delivering personalized, hyper-local advertising, offers and deals to shoppers on their mobile phones, we see a huge opportunity for retailers and brands to reach more buyers, and for consumers to get more choice and value when they shop,” eBay says.
